it's been a few weeks since i've been on here. working around 60 hours a week and planning a wedding, well blogging just hasn't been on the top of my priority list! but since i had a few minutes i though i'd update everyone on the planning we've been working so hard on. (by the way if anyone needs a wedding planner, my mom is becoming quite the pro at it!) i know traditionally the bridesmaids are suppose to be the one's playing a huge part in planning the wedding but since i'm so picky i'd rather me and my mom do it, she knows my taste and style and whatever she does is done with perfection bc she's so critical of herself so i'm def. leaving most of it in her hands! which she's been pretty darn amazing though all of this. she's made all the phone calls, appointments, she's written all the emails, helped with the dress and even gave my fiancee' a nice little swift kick in the butt to get him motivated!
ok, so in just a month and a half here is what we have so far.
*Place: Saluda Shoals
*Time:2:30
*Date:July 18, 2009(Also my birthday..it seems to be the only date available at pretty much every venue we looked at...odd!)
*My dreses! which i LOVE LOVE LOVE!
*My bridesmaids dresses which they love! and by the way i do have wonderful girls! their so beautiful and susan has helped a ton! she was the first person to know (besides my parents) about the wedding and as soon as i told her she knew she was going to be taking on the responsibilites of my maid of honor! we've talked about it for months and months and i'm def. blessed that she's stepped up. Saluda Shoals was actually her idea!
*Our engagment pictures are complete! Chrissy (my big sister!!) did them for us and she did an amazing job!!!!! she's also doing my bridal portraits for me and she's doing pictures during the wedding. she says i can't repay her..but i'm def. doing something wonderful for her. she's saved me thousands of dollars and it's been so much fun spending time and talking with her so much! she's so excited for everything and her spirtits are a blessing!
*Songs to walk down the aisle and for the first dance and father daugther dance are picked out
*Our minister to marry us is selected! (thank you Mr. David!!!!) it means the world to me that he's going to be marrying me! he's been my sunday school teacher and a spiritual leader since i was in 5th grade and i love that he's agreed to do this!!!
*Party favors are picked out!
*A dj has been selected! (Thank you Will...and like i said NO FUNKY CHICKEN, YMCA, or ELECTRIC SLIDE!!!!!)
*Mama is catering! Another wonderful thing she's doing for me!!!
and last but not least my big brother has calmed me down more times than i can think!! anytime i get aggervated with timmy or think this isn't important to him he reminds me that he IS a male, and the things we find importance in are totally different! and just because he doesn't show emotions like we females do, doesn't mean he's not into this. and communication is key! he's told me that like a bazillion times!!! he's been married for 5 years so he must be doing something right! his advice is most helpful and i value all of it!!!
i think that covers everything! there is still lots and lots to do but we're def. on a roll!
p.s. aunt gina i haven't forgotten about your list of people and addresses. i actually have all of my people i want to invite. i'm just waiting to get with timmy's step mom to find out what females on his side of the family i should include. it's coming soon..promise!!! and i'm totally stumped on invitations =( i have NO CLUE!! everything i've looked at i'm just not crazy about..it's all too frilly and just too much. any suggestions?
i think that does it for now! everything else is quite normal and the same ole same ole!
thanks again for everyones help at making this all possible (and fairly inexpensive!!) i really do have the greatest family in the whole wide world!!

Grace...is not my middle name
This weekend was..Intresting to say the least. I worked Friday night and Saturday night but it went by pretty quickly and saturday i was in meetings pretty much most of the day so sunday was when I got to have my fun haha well fun for me...not so much fun for my fiance'
my best friend moved in with us a few days ago, and she finally got all of her stuff unpacked and set up where she wanted it so yesterday was the first day we really had to like hang out and go to church together and just get the feel of being roommates (i've never lived wth another female before, besides my mom) well..i went to walmart and bought a new stand so natalie and me being the strong willed stubborn women that we are, convienced the guys to let US build the stand instead of them.i had faith in her, she said she had built the same kind before for her ex boyfriend so i figured what could go wrong? i had experience on my side... so like any good shelf builder person (i don't know what they call them) we get our instuctions (yes..we did use the instructions) and we get all the pieces and we open them up and lay everything out on the floor. well we get to building our shelf!! and we're off to a good start. Well as Timmy walked away i can see the look on his face and i automatically knew what he was thinking. "This is not going to turn out well...It's going to be a disaster!!" But we were out to prove a point! well we got ALMOST done with it, and we were very proud of how far we had come without the help of the guys! Well timmy comes out of the computer room and starts to look it over and he says the words two very stubborn women don't want to hear "It's Backwards!" What?!? what do you mean it's backwards?!?! we did it just how the picture said..we even held up the box so we could see what it was suppose to look like when it was finished..it can't be backwards! so after we convienced him we had done this correctly and he walked away, we decided he was right! but of course we wern't going to tell him that.
Well after being defeated by this shelf, we decided it wasn't anything a beer wouldn't fix so we called Timmy in to let him rebuild what we had already built..backwards.
well, Natalie decided she was going to unscrew part of the shelf so he can start over and when she did she broke a corner off that held a screw so all of our hard work and pride was shattered! So, an hour and a half later, a very pissed off fiance' whose missing the superbowl because he has to go back to walmart, get a new shelf come home and put it together, i learned that i lack mechanical skills when it comes to stuff like that!
but i'm thinking..practices makes perfect! I wonder what i'll build next time!

White Chocolate Mocha...Oh how i love thee!
Today hasn't been any better..work sucked lastnight. i had one table..wewhew! i made all of 11.00 from my table..which i can't complain i guess..it's the only real bad night i've had yet and we are sold out for next month so hopefully it will be better! if not, well...my 2.33 an hour just isn't going to cut it haha.
Well while i was at work, i'm all about finding things to do so i decided to venture over to starbucks and learn how to make my favorite drink..the white chocolate mocha! oh, another great thing about working there is if you make your own starbucks...you get it for free!! (it's pretty much what had me hooked on taking the job haha!)
5 things i learned while making a white chocolate mocha:
1. it does not take 20 minutes to make the drink..so when you're standing in line waiting for one and it takes them forever...they aren't doing their job correctly!
2. it taste so much better when someone else makes it..putting all the work into just takes the fun out of drinking it
3.i have NO IDEA why the charge 5 dollars for a cup of it. it's two shots of espresso, two and a half pumps of choclate syrup and steamed milk..it takes maybe 75 cents to make the drink. now i see why their going bankrupt!
4.i actually made something, and i didnt mess it up or burn anything! i'm very proud of that fact!
5.it doesn't matter that i know how to make it, i will still stand in line for half an hour, wait 20 minutes for my 5 dollar cup of coffee and i'll enjoy every sip!!
oh, and if i ever fail at any other job...i'll have coffee making to fall back on!!

It's Wednesday!!!
ok, so i couldn't think of a better title. maybe next time!
Today has been a total BUST! and it's not even lunch yet. I worked late lastnight (although the money was worth it) and was soo exhausted! i had a table of 5 VERY intoxicated men that stayed way past 10:00, consuming my time with dirty jokes and bad senses of humor...but it's all apart of the job so i just smiled, laughed and pretended like i was having fun serving them. (i'm gettin pretty good at this bullshitting thing, plus with my full time job people are constantly getting on my nerves so i've had plenty of practice!) All of that was just the beginning of the misery i call my day. We were suppose to go to a meeting yesterday at work, they always schedule them during the work day so everyone could attend, well we got the email last week and when i asked my boss which one I was suppose to go to her kind of bushed it off said he didn't know and he'd get back to me. Well he never did, so the meeting time comes and guess whose not in there? ME! why? because i wasn't told when to go. So two more we're scheduled for this morning at 7am (hahaha yeah right! not NO, but HELL no!) and the other one is Saturday at 9 am(much better!) well, it's not the going to the meeting that's the issue..it's the point that someone didn't do their job and now i have to take time out of my day to come to a meeting on saturday morning or 7 am this morning. Now granted, some of you are like ohh big deal, what's so important that you can't come to work for an hour and a half on a saturday morning..ok well..would you want to get up on a saturday and come to work? nope, and unlike most people...i work hard enough as it is. When I'm here, i do what i'm suppose to do and then some (because peole are lazy and don't like to get out of their chairs for 8 hours straight) When i get asked to do something, i don't complain about it or make smart comments about how it's too much or it's not my job..i smile and get it done. I'm here early and I don't always leave when i'm scheduled to. I don't usually take a full hour for lunch and usually i bring it back here and eat and work through my lunch if theirs something to get done. when it comes to the resturant..i stay way later than I'm suppose to MOST nights, I don't complain when someone isn't pulling their weight, i clean and vaccuum when i'm told to even if someone else just did it (with a smile on my face!) i don't hold onto a bad attitude when a customer is getting on my nerves, i'm always fully prepared for my night when i get there and again, i do what i'm suppose to do and then some. granted, there it's a lot better because people actually work as a team and they communicate with each other. Their a little on the greedy side but all in all their rather nice, their not lazy, their determined and they do their job. i think that's why i like working in the resturant better. you don't have someone micromanaging you asking you if you did something that you knew you were suppose to do, you don't have someone asking you for something when they are perfectly capable of getting up and doing it themselves, and you aren't around them long enough to deal with their bad attitudes and smart comments just because they feel like opening their mouths because their on a power trip. you can just walk away and go about your business!!
i still haven't managed to get my keys out of my car yet. although, natalie is providing me with some comic relief! she's such a great friend!! we're just alike it's scary haha. Her and her boyfriend moved in with Timmy and me this week. It's been so much fun having them around. i've gotten to spend a good bit of time with her and her boyfriend is a sweetheart! he's so quiet but he's really nice. she did a great job with this one! compared to some of her ex boyfriends, this one is a keeper! We work at the resturant together too, so even if we don't get to see each other at home a whole lot i get to spend time with her there! She's one of the best friends i've ever had and I'm so blessed that God gave her to me!

UNmotivated Monday
I never really saw myself as the blogging type, but seeing as how work has blocked myspace and facebook and they don't know about this site yet...I'll use this to consume some of my work day! plus i like reading about what's going on in everyone else's life that i don't always get to talk to on a regular basis.
So it's almost Febuary..wow i can't believe the first month of 2009 has gone by so quickly! It's amazing how time changes everything, even us!
ok, so on to the good stuff, and i guess since this is my blog i'll write it about me? i don't know..maybe that's why i never got into these things..because their so self centered but i'll take a different approach and write about myself, others, AND current issues! hopefully that will keep you intrested enough, my life isn't all that exciting anyway!
So with this new year, lots of changes have already transpired..like I'm getting married! July 18th, 2009 (my 22nd birthday..and no, he's not getting out of buying me two presents!) Not as many people we're as excited as I was about the news, but thankfully for me, i don't live for those people! I'm learning a bit about Wedding Planning Etique and I think the only thing I've come across thus far that i find really rude is when you tell someone you're getting married they look at you and go "why, what would you want do that for?" not a "congrats" or "wow!" and esepcially from the people who are ALREADY married! like seriously, if your wife or husband were standing beside you and you said that...well let's just say my fiance' would be sleeping outside!
OK, so i thought it would be fun to list a few things i've learned from this whole Wedding Planning experience.
1.I should have went with my first choice and just signed the papers and been done with it!! haha
2.If my daughter ever says she's going to elope, i'm going to buy her plane ticket to wherever they wants to go and wish her the best of luck!
3.EVERYONE has an opinion, and they voice it...even if it's unwanted!
4.Wedding dresses are a lot of work to get on and off... I only tried on six and was ready to be done.
5.Registering is a lot more fun than it sounds...oh and apparently everything has to match..who knew!?
6.Men could careless about what colors you've picked out, what's on your cake, or even what dress you choose to wear, they just want to show up say I do and have fun! so getting anything out of them when it comes to planning is just a waste of time!
7.Your mom is going to want to take pictures of EVERYTHING you put on, try on or even think about trying on. Just smile and let her do it!
8.I am not graceful by any means!!! i'll be glad if i make through the day without falling on my face.
So since i'm telling you all of this news about getting married, i suppose i'll tell you a little about the guy i've chosen to spend the rest of my life with. You already know me if you're reading this so that wouldn't be much fun so i'll talk about him! He's 24 years old. His name is Timothy (timmy) He does computer networking and we currently have a computer business on the side that he does for some extra money and fun! he loves building them and reparing them! he's a total nerd but without the social awkardness. He's actually very talkative and loud once you get to know him. He's into working out and eating healthy. He cooks (better than me, but that's not hard to do!) He cleans (he's OCD) and he can make you laugh when you want to scream! He likes to play devil's advocate just to challange me and get to search places of my mind i wouldn't normally venture to. He has a pretty large family...ok HUGE family. He was a chrsitan when I met him but wasn't very active in church and his faith, but with the help of God and A LOT of prayer that has changed. He's stubborn, Strong, Handsome, Doesn't know when to ask for help, and on most days spoils me way more than he should! He's by no means perfect, but that would be boreing. He has a temper and his quick to defend the people he loves. He's a figther first when it comes to anyone else, but a Lover first when it comes to me! He opens my doors, makes me breakfast in bed, and pulls the chair out for me!All of his friends say i've tamed him and he's a different person with me (in a good way) and for that, i say Thanks! i've worked very hard at training him! hahaha Not many people know the real him, he's not the type to let just anybody into his world, thoughts and emotions and i love that about him!
there, that's enough about him! next time i'll fill you in on my crazy family!! oh the stories to share! =)
